How to Make a Tie Knot Loop
- 1). Hold the free end of your monofilament fishing line. Measure 8 inches up from the end of the line.
- 2). Turn the free end back along the main line to form a small loop at the measured 8-inch point on the line. Hold the free end of the line beside the main line to create a double line.
- 3). Form a large loop with the small loop in the end of the line and the doubled line. Feed the small loop in the end of the line through the larger loop.
- 4). Wrap the small loop around the large loop a second time. Pull the small loop out from the larger loop.
- 5). Moisten the knot with water or saliva. Hold the small loop and doubled line and pull them in the opposite direction. Adjust the size of the small loop to the desired length as the knot is pulled tight. Trim excess from the free end of the line extending from the knot with scissors.
