How to Stay Hydrated for Prevention of the Flu
- 1). Weigh yourself on a scale.
- 2). Divide the number of pounds you weigh by two. This is the minimum number of ounces of water you should drink a day.
- 3). Measure out the ounces in a measuring cup, and then transfer them to a container you can keep in the refrigerator.
- 4). Drink out of the container throughout the day until there is no more water left.
- 5). Keep a humidifier in your home. This will help moisten the air that you breathe in.
- 6). Drink plenty of warm liquids, which are also helpful in preventing the flu. Tea, broth and cocoa are good choices for a warm beverage.
