How to Program a Dish Remote 4.0 to Receiver 301
- 1). Turn your TV on.
- 2). Press the "Power" button on the receiver to put the receiver in "Off" or "Standby" mode.
- 3). Press the "Up" button on the receiver. The "System Information" screen will appear on your TV.
- 4). Hold the "SAT" button down on the Dish remote until all of the "Mode Buttons" on the remote light up. Once this occurs, you can let go of the "SAT" button. The "SAT" button will blink.
- 5). Press any number between 1 and 16 on the Dish remote. Remember this number.
- 6). Press the "Pound (#)" button on the Dish remote. The "SAT" button on the remote should blink three times. If it does not, repeat steps 4 and 5, this time entering a different number in step 5. When the "SAT" button blinks three times, proceed to the next step.
- 7). Press the "Record" button on the remote while pointing the remote at the receiver. This will save the code in the Dish remote.
- 8). Test the remote by using the arrow buttons found on the remote to highlight the "Done" option on the screen. Press "Select" on the remote to exit the "System Information" screen. If the buttons on the Dish remote do not program the receiver, repeat the process starting from step 4.
