How to Use Biscuit Dough for Trout Bait
- 1). Replace your current hook with a No. 12 trout hook. Roland Martin, author of "Roland Martin's 101 Bass-Catching Secrets," recommends this hook when using biscuit dough.
- 2). Attach a tiny float or bobber 3 feet above the hook. This can be done by pressing down on the top of the float or bobber to open up a clip in the bottom. Slide up through the fishing line and let go when you get to the 3-foot mark. The clip will hold the line so that the float or bobber stays put.
- 3). Roll your biscuit dough in to small balls and press one around the end of the trout hook. Keep the others handy for re-baiting the hook.
- 4). Use your favorite fishing techniques to reel in the big one!
