Planes and Automobiles

• Replicate your favorite first car or build a jet with popsicle sticks. Use the sticks to build anything from jumbo planes to Corvettes. Create rounded parts of the craft by steam-bending the sticks, and add color and detail with paints. To add smaller sticks to your model, cut them with a razor knife and sand the edges smooth. Use plastic or rubber wheels to make the craft mobile.
  
  

Trinket Box

• Trinket and jewelry boxes are always useful around the house; make a beautiful box out of wooden Popsicle sticks. Sand them to make them smooth and decorate with stain, paint or gems glued to the box. Finish it with a clasp and some hinges for the lid, and add felt or velvet inside the box to line it. Make the box as large or small as you want, and include inside compartments to hold jewelry or other items.
  
  

Trojan Horse

• Build a Trojan horse, albeit on a smaller scale, to resemble the one Odysseus and other Greek warriors climbed inside to defeat the Trojans. Steam and bend the Popsicle sticks to achieve the curved aspects of the horse, and leave it hollow inside to replicate the real horse. The horse should have an ample compartment within its body to hold trinkets or other items. Sand and stain the sticks, then add wheels to make the model mobile.
  
  

Holiday Village Scene

• Make a holiday village scene out of Popsicle sticks to place on your mantle during the holiday season. Include houses, cabins, trees and nativity scenes. Use a razor knife to cut Popsicle sticks into smaller pieces, then grasp them with tweezers to set them in the right place and secure with wood glue. Make a Christmas tree by overlapping the sticks in a circle around a center stick, with the ends pointing out at about a 45-degree angle away from the center. Place your village scene on cotton batting to mimic snow and cover with glitter or holiday lights.
