Naturally, anyone performing a live gig wants it go without any problems.
Just keep some of the following in mind, and you should be on your way to a smooth and entertaining performance.
Make sure you power equipment is totally adequate.

If so, then don't forget to bring backups.

So be sure to save your patches elsewhere besides the actual synthesizer.
You should do this even if you don't have a live gig because something could go wrong with your synthesizer.
Don't skimp on your furniture supports.
Make sure to use strongly constructed keyboard stands.

The ones that are constructed for multiple keyboards.
Be sure to have good rack mount and flight cases.
This is one area that you do not want to cut costs.
You really can't afford to have your equipment damaged by accidents.
Make sure you analogue gear or analogue keyboards are not old.
They won't keep a tune, they can cease to work at any time, and lots of them don't even have patch storage.
If you are going to be doing live gigs then you need the appropriate up to date equipment.
Remember that modular synthesizers are not feasible either.
Try to plan ahead.
For example, create your patches on other synths prior to the event.
It can be a life saver as well as great practice for your programming endeavors.
Don't be caught without spare cables.
Any musician that plays an electrical instrument will tell you that.
Keyboard synthesizer players have to rely on these cables to carry their sounds out to the spectators.
If money is tight and you can't afford to many then at least have a couple of 6.

Do yourself a favor and only bring the synths that you absolutely need.
That way there is less equipment to look after.

Remember to take out any unnecessary expansion or memory cards out of the synths.
Give some thought to your ear monitoring.
You must be able to hear your music and that of your bands when playing live.
You need to determine if the onstage monitors will be good enough.
If you are not convinced of this then consider using headphones.
This can be inexpensive if you consider Shure EC range in ear monitoring buds.
If you are going to use several synthesizers then make sure you have your own mixer.
That way it keeps your area presentable because it eliminates are the strings of cables, and keeps you in a position to be able to control the synthesizer levels.
It's important to have your own keyboard sub mixer.
