Would you like to know if you suffer from anxiety? Well, there are many physical symptoms that you can identify.
These include muscle tension, insomnia and fatigue, sweating, upset stomach and dizziness, feeling the urge to urinate constantly, having a shortness of breath, experiencing frequent headaches, and having diarrhea.
If you have these symptoms, do not make the mistake of thinking it is just an ordinary illness, if you are constantly feeling anxious, then perhaps it is time to see a specialist and seek the appropriate help for your anxiety disorder.
Anxiety also has a strong link with depression; you would be surprised to know.
This probably stems from the biological vulnerability - sometimes the depression makes the anxiety worse, and if you are feeling both depressed and anxious, then it is time to get yourself treated for both conditions.
Anxiety attacks are sometimes also called panic attacks - and they usually occur very suddenly without any warning.
In most cases, there may be a trigger - like being stuck in an elevator, or worrying about a big presentation, but sometimes the attacks may come out of the blue.
They generally peak within ten minutes, but you can be sure that they will not last more than half an hour.
However, during that time you experience such intense terror that you feel like you are losing control.
It is a very scary experience and many people mistake it for having a heart attack.
If you find yourself suffering from anxiety or panic attacks, it is time to seek help without delay or immediately.
You can get yourself on the path to recovery by breathing slowly and deeply every time an attack hits you, but sometimes specialized treatment and perhaps even medication may be required.
So do not let the panic attacks get the better of you, you should be getting the better of the panic attacks!
