    • 1). Open the Windows Mobile Device Center Web page (see Resources.)

    • 2). Download the Windows Mobile Device Center installer by clicking the "32-bit Version" link on the Web page if you have a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, or the "64-bit Version" link if you have a 64-bit version of Windows Vista.

    • 3). Click "Continue" next to "Validation Required" on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center for Windows Vista Web page.

    • 4). Install the Windows Genuine Advantage application by clicking the information bar at the top of the Web browser window, clicking "Install ActiveX Control" and then clicking "Run."

    • 5). Download the Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center for Windows Vista by clicking "Download" on its Web page, then clicking "Save" in your Web browser.

    • 6). Install the Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center by double-clicking the downloaded "drvupdate-x86.exe" file on your computer. The Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center installs automatically with no user input required.

    • 7). Open the Windows Mobile Device Center by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and then "Windows Mobile Device Center."

    • 8). Read the "Microsoft Software License Terms" in the window that appears, then clicking "Accept" if you accept.

    • 9). Connect your Dell Axim X3 to your Windows Vista computer with the included USB cable.

      Transfer files to and from your Dell Axim X3 and Windows Vista computer using the Windows Mobile Device Center.
