Instructions for Headlight Replacement on a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS
- 1). Prop the hood of your Mitsubishi Eclipse on the support rod.
- 2). Remove the dust cover from the headlight assembly by pulling it straight off. Set the cover aside.
- 3). Twist counterclockwise while grasping the bulb and socket assembly. Pull the bulb from the headlight assembly. Pull the wiring harness off the bulb socket by grasping the connector and pulling it straight off.
- 4). Connect the wiring harness to the new bulb by pressing it straight onto the socket. Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly, and twist it clockwise to secure it into the assembly.
- 5). Reposition the dust cover, and press it into place to protect the back of the headlight assembly.
- 6). Repeat the process to replace the bulb on the opposite side if needed. Close the hood and test the operation of the new lights.
