- 1). Sprinkle a trail of boric acid all around the perimeters of your home. This includes porches, patios, decks, and lanais. The boric acid will severely dehydrate the fleas as well as cause respiratory and internal problems, causing them to die.
- 2). Wash all linens, towels, clothing, and stuffed animals with the hottest water possible. The combination of hot water and laundry detergent will kill the fleas through poisoning or drowning.
