Power on your computer or wireless device (such as a PDA) and enter your wireless networking utility. If you have never used it before, consult your owner's manual for exact specifications for using your wireless networking utility.

Select the hotspot you want to connect to. If you are in range of several networks, ask an administrator which network is the free hotspot you wish to connect to.

Select the network using your device, and then press the "connect" button in your wireless utility. You may be prompted to enter a network key. Again, contact the network administrator for help regarding this issue.

A notification will let you know whether your connection has been successful. If so, you should see a small icon with bars indicating your signal strength. If not, the network may be busy or encountering problems.
