    • 1). Remove or block access to the ants' water and food source. Cleanairgardening.com recommends making sure your hummingbird feeder is ant-proof and that you clear out your bug traps, where raspberry ants are likely to feed on dead insects. Remove as much moisture from the ants' breeding grounds, creating an environment where they can't multiply as fast. These steps will surely weaken the ant colony.

    • 2). Block all points of entry into your home. Put some caulk and fresh gaskets on your doors and windows to eliminate entry points. Rasberry ants will consume large quantities of sugar and other packaged foods.

    • 3). Consider using a pesticide. There are a number of organic, non-toxic sprays and ant killers on the market that you can use if ants are invading your home. Green Light Organic Natural Fire Ant Killer is one such pesticide. Pesticides may only provide a temporary solution.

    • 4). Kill the ants at the source. Follow an ant trail to the nest and pour either bowling water or waste cooking oil down the hole. This will render the nest uninhabitable and kill off most of the ants. Rasberry ants are known to form super colonies with multiple queens, so make sure to do a thorough search of the area.

    • 5). Call your local exterminator or pest control expert. They can provide more powerful chemicals and advanced approaches to getting rid of ants.
