Successful Home Income Even Without Computer Skills
I would like to share with you an experience that changed the way I perceive technology.
Less than five years ago I took some free basic computer classes at my local neighbourhood centre.
At that stage I did not own a computer, and I could barely send out emails as my skills were very marginal.
I then decided it was time to purchase a laptop and with no knowledge of what type of machine would suit me I purchased the cheapest one there without asking any questions, oblivious to what type of provider I was going to run with, its memory capacity.
I saw the price tag and that was all that concerned me at the time.
When I arrived home with this silver foreign contraption as I called it then, I remember being frightened to open it up.
It sat on my coffee table for days on end and I was still having lessons at the neighbourhood centre.
Like a lot of people my age I had a mental block about computers and thought of them as a ridiculous invention only for the young to play around on.
Why did I need one? I had gone all these years without one.
After not too long I unknowingly became interested in what computers could do, I was shown how to look up old school mates.
And so it went on until I had forgotten about the actual phobia of the computer itself and started to enjoy what I could do.
I was also shown how to use Google Earth and I saw my daughter's house overseas, and I called her and told her to tidy up her backyard.
I was so keen to keep Googling material, I would just walk in the door and open my computer out of sheer enthusiasm to go on.
I had forgotten the fear of how it looked sitting all silver and intimidating on my coffee table.
I began searching for more lessons and found that local libraries held free computer classes on website building, blogging, the list goes on.
After a few lessons I thought about what it would be like to make money online.
And in the online world age is none existent.
This is all mindset.
Computers and Marketing are not rocket science.
I'm now living my dream of Internet Marketing.
I still have my silver laptop and it's my best friend.
