How to Fix a B&S Pulley Assembly
- 1). Turn the engine of your Briggs and Stratton motor on its side. This will expose the PTO shaft, allowing you to access the pulley for inspection and adjustments.
- 2). Fit an adjustable wrench around the bolt that holds the pulley onto the base of the driveshaft.
- 3). Turn the wrench and bolt counter clockwise to remove it and slip the pulley off.
- 4). Check the integrity of the bolt and ensure the pulley is not damaged. Replace the pulley and fully tighten the bolt, ensuring the pulley is secured properly and tightly in place.
