    • 1). Turn on the P-250. The power switch is found on the left end of the main panel of the unit.

    • 2). Select a voice for which the vibrato effect is appropriate, such as a pad, strings or choir sound. The effect will not work on non-sustained voices, such as the various piano sounds. Press the "Performance" button to exit performance mode and press the "Voice/Performance" button to call the voice selection menu. Use the up/down buttons to scroll through the available voices. Press the "Yes" button when you find the voice you want to use. The voice will be loaded for playback.

    • 3). Locate the modulation wheel. There are two wheels immediately to the left of the keyboard. The right wheel is the modulation wheel.

    • 4). Press and hold one or more keys on the keyboard with your right hand. The P-250 will play back the notes you press. With your left hand, slowly push the modulation wheel away from you. The sound will begin to waver, producing a vibrato effect.

    • 5). Push the modulation wheel further away from you. The effect will become more pronounced the further away you push the modulation wheel. At the furthest extreme, it will become pronounced enough to totally distort the original sound.
