Parts List for a Homelite Trimmer
- The Homelite cordless 13-inch trimmer/edger is the lightest weight trimmer on the market today. The design of a one-piece crankcase and cylinder reduces the overall weight to a comfortable 5.2 pounds. Other great features of this trimmer are a durable 4.0 amp motor, adjustable handle, auto line feed with dual .065 inch line, cord retention hook to prevent power disconnection, the ease of being cordless and an affordable price of about $30. The Homelite trimmer/edger also comes with a 2-year warranty. Homelite builds and ships approximately one million string trimmers a year. Homelite, originally Home Electric Lighting Company, has been in operation since 1921.
- The spool is the round cylinder that the cutting line is wrapped around and automatically feeds the line as the trimming is performed. The spool cap is the plastic cover that goes over the spool to keep the cutting line on the spool.
- The edge guide is the wire attached to the front of the trimmer to guide the trimmer along the edge of the grass for a neat and even edge. The grass shield keeps the trimmed grass from flying up into the face of the person trimming. The screw holds the grass shield in place.
- The front handle is the adjustable handle on the shaft to hold the trimmer steady while edging or trimming. The clamp holds the front handle onto the shaft of the trimmer. The knob screw and hex nut hold the clamp tight. Loosen the knob screw to slide the front handle up or down the shaft to the most comfortable height and tighten the knob screw to hold the front handle in place.
- The operator's manual has all the necessary information regarding the trimmer. It contains all the safety instructions, electrical requirements, features, list of tools needed to assemble the trimmer, assembly instructions, operating instructions, maintenance, trouble shooting, warranty, parts list and order information, and service information.
