How to Load Plywood
- 1). Lower the tailgate on your pickup. Drive the pickup in reverse, stopping 24 inches from the end of the plywood. With the help of your assistant, pick up the plywood from both sides--holding it in the middle of the sheet. Grasp it firmly with your hands spread about 36 inches apart.
- 2). Lift the end of the plywood six inches higher than the tailgate and walk it toward the pickup, lowering the end of the plywood onto the end of the pickup bed. As the plywood touches the bed begin sliding the plywood forward, using a hand-over-hand method to feed the plywood all the way into the bed.
- 3). Lift and slide each consecutive sheet into the pickup in the same manner until the cumulative height of the stack is even with the top of the sides of the bed.
- 4). Close the tailgate, if your pickup will allow it.
