Things You Need

Sock White card stockColored card stock Red felt Yarn White pompoms Googly eyes Ribbon Hot glue gunScissors

Cut the Mouth

Cut about 1/4 inch off the toe of the sock. Follow the curve of the sock.

Cut the Card Stock Mouth

Trace the end of the sock onto card stock. Using that shape as a guide, draw half an oval. Fold the card stock in half and cut along the curved line to create a full oval.

Cut Felt for the Mouth

Trace the card stock oval onto red felt. Cut just inside the line so the felt is a little smaller than the card stock.

Glue the Mouth in Place

Place the card stock inside the mouth of your sock. Pull the sock edges around the card stock and glue them into place.

Finish the Mouth

Glue the red felt on top of the card stock. Place a dab of glue under the top of the lips and press up against the sock to make it more secure.

Add Eyes

Glue googly eyes to white pompoms, then glue the pompoms to the top of the sock, about 1 1/2 inches back from the mouth.

Make the Hair

Cut about thirty 10-inch pieces of yard. Line up the pieces and tie them together in the middle with another piece of yarn. Glue the hair on top of the sock, just behind the eyes.

Add a Hair Ribbon

Tie a ribbon into a bow and cut off the ends. Glue to the top of the pompom eyes.

Create the Glasses

Sketch glasses on colored card stock and cut them out. Glue the glasses in place.
