• Centrally located in Belize City, the Central America Health Sciences University Belize Medical College was founded in 1996 and features a medical program and curriculum based off of United States programs. Course work includes classes in gross anatomy, microbiology, immunology, neurology, and molecular biology among others. Belize Medical College is recognized by the Educational Commission on Foreign Medical Graduates, and admission requirements include standard undergraduate science coursework, like biology and chemistry. • A fully accredited medical college, American Global University School of Medicine has a rigorous academic schedule and offers an accelerated, intensive program. Students attending the AGUSM can obtain their medical degree in as little as four years. Since the University has a rolling admissions process, there is no deadline for admission. InterAmerican Medical University

• Situated approximately 85 miles north of Belize City, InterAmerican Medical University is attached to Bethesda Medical Center. Students who attend the University gain clinical exposure at Bethesda Medical Center and work with a staff of internationally trained physicians. Coursework at the University includes two years of didactic basic courses, followed by two years of clinical rotations. During rotations, students become acquainted with general surgery, neurology, pediatrics, internal medicine and other specialty medical areas. Prerequisites, like biology, physics and chemistry are required for admission, and all North American applicants to the University must submit MCAT scores.
