How to Raise the Front End of a GMC 2500
- 1). Slide the jack underneath the front of the truck, as much in the middle of the grille as possible.
- 2). Pump the jack so that it continuously lifts. Raise the jack until it lifts the front of the vehicle off of the ground.
- 3). Place jack stands underneath the vehicle at points on both sides of the car so that it is stabilized. This way, if the jack malfunctions or is accidentally kicked out, the car will not fall to the ground, possibly causing injury.
- 4). Complete the repair or inspection that required you to lift the vehicle.
- 5). Remove jack stands and slowly lower the car to the ground.
