    Windows

    • 1). Download the Ubuntu Live CD image (in the ISO file format) from Ubuntu.com. Save the ISO file to your desktop.

    • 2). Insert a blank CD into the computer's burning drive.

    • 3). Double-click the downloaded ISO to bring up the "Burn Disc Image" options window.

    • 4). Select your computer's burning drive from the "disc burner" drop-down menu.

    • 5). Enable "Verify" to check the disc's integrity. Select "Burn" to start the process. Once complete, you have an Ubuntu Live CD, capable of launching, installing and troubleshooting your Linux partition.

    Ubuntu

    • 1). Download the Ubuntu Live CD image (in the ISO file format) from Ubuntu.com. Save the ISO file to your desktop.

    • 2). Insert a blank CD into the computer's burning drive.

    • 3). Right-click the ISO and select "Write to Disc..."

    • 4). Select "Burn" to begin burning the disc. Once complete, you can use the disc to launch, reinstall or troubleshoot Ubuntu.
