    • 1). Turn your notebook or laptop off. Insert the card into the available PCMCIA slot of the laptop.

    • 2). Turn on your computer. Once the card is inserted, a light may appear on the card to indicate your PCMCIA card is connected. When the computer has fully booted, you will see a message that reads "Found New Hardware" in the bottom-right corner of your screen. Click the little box to launch the "Hardware Update Wizard." It will prompt you to insert the installation CD that came with the hardware.

    • 3). Install any software that came with the PCMCIA memory card reader. Insert the installation CD or CDs into the disc drive of your laptop. Follow the prompts of the installation wizard to finish setting up the card.
