The main reason is to keep you accountable for what you eat.

You see if your not keeping a food journal your keeping your fat loss potential back.

It can be real tough to change a life time of bad eating habits.
Keeping a food journal can really help you stay accountable.
There's something about writing down that you had a piece cake in your journal, that makes you not want to eat it.
Especially if your trainer's going see it.
On the other hand, it can remind you how well your doing.
But, you see if your not honest with your journal, it defeats the purpose.
Reason # 2- Have you ever had a month where you didn't lose as much weight as you wanted to.
This can usually always be linked back to your nutrition.
