How to Remove a KitchenAid Dishwasher Vent

    • 1). Turn off the electrical power to your KitchenAid dishwasher from your kitchen circuit breaker.

    • 2). Loosen the two hex head screws from the bottom toe panel using a Phillips screwdriver.

    • 3). Remove the two screws at the bottom of the outer door panel, and open the dishwasher door slightly.

    • 4). Remove the two screws from the top of the front panel. Lift and remove the entire outer panel from the dishwasher door.

    • 5). Insert a flathead screwdriver into one of the slots in the dishwasher vent on the doors.

    • 6). Turn the vent counterclockwise one-quarter turn, and the vent will become dislodged.

    • 7). Lift and remove the entire vent. Inspect the vent for any damage, and replace the part, if necessary.
