How to Update an EPO Server
- 1). Log into the current ePO version running on your server with the administrator user account. Only a user with administrator-level permissions can upgrade the ePO server.
- 2). Verify that the latest MySQL (Structured Query Language) database is running. This database architecture stores data that is input through the ePO server.
- 3). Enter the ePO product CD into the CD-Rom. Select the Setup Wizard icon that appears. If you downloaded ePO, navigate to the storage location for the ePO files. Double-click "Setup.exe."
- 4). Enter the administrator login information under the "Set Administrator Information" window.
- 5). Enter the username and password of the Windows NT user in the "Set Database Information" window. The new version of ePO uses this username and password to access the database. If you do not want to use that username for access permissions, enter the username and password that was used to create the MySQL database.
- 6). Click "Install" in the "Start Copying Files" window. The update is now underway. When it finishes, click "Finished."
