    • 1). Open the Aerio's hood and locate the slave cylinder, the small component on the top of the transmission with a hydraulic line screwed into it. Attach the 1/4-inch rubber hose to the bleeder valve, the 1/4-inch metal valve at the top of the slave cylinder.

    • 2). Pour about 3 inches of DOT3 brake fluid into the clean small container. Place the free end of the 1/4-inch hose into the container of brake fluid so that the open end is submerged in the brake fluid.

    • 3). Instruct your assistant to press and release the clutch pedal four or five time and then hold the pedal down.

    • 4). Open the bleeder valve by turning it counterclockwise with a combination wrench while your assistant holds the pedal. Watch as bubbles come from the hose and into the brake fluid.

    • 5). Close the bleeder valve by turning it clockwise, using a combination wrench. Instruct your assistant to release the clutch pedal.

    • 6). Repeat Steps 5 and 6 until no bubbles come from the hose.

    • 7). Locate the clutch master cylinder reservoir, the small plastic reservoir next to the brake master cylinder, under the Aerio's hood. Open the clutch master cylinder's lid and check the fluid level, it must be between the "Min" and "Max" marks. Add fluid from the small container as needed.
