How to Slipstream Sata Drivers Into XP
- 1). Locate your SATA driver by typing "f6flpy3286.zip" into your search engine. Download it to your machine. Extract the embedded information to: "%userprofile%\desktop\SATA Driver".
- 2). Download and install nLite to your machine. Place your Windows XP CD into your computer and cancel the Auto Play menu. Open nLite.
- 3). Location your information source path as prompted by nLite. Enter the drive letter of your CD-ROM "E:\" or "D:\" as your path and click on "Next". Click on "OK" when "Select Where To Save The CD Installation Files For Modification" appears. Click on "Desktop", then click "Make New Folder". Name it "XP Source", then click on "OK". Allow nLite to copy your XP installation files to your folder. Click on "Next".
- 4). Click "Next" once you reach the "Presets" page. Click on "Drivers And Bootable ISO" under the "Task Selection Window". Click on "Next".
- 5). Click "Insert" and then, click on "Single Driver" when prompted to locate your SATA controller driver. Enter ""%userprofile%\desktop\sata driver\iaAHCI.inf" under the "File Name" dialogue box and click "Open".
- 6). Select "Text Mode Driver" as the "Mode" type under the "Driver Integration Window". Hover over "Intel (R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller", then click "OK", and then click on "Next". Click on "Yes" when asked "Do You Want To Start The Process?". Allow nLite to integrate your drivers.
- 7). Click "Next" when integration is complete. Eject your Windows XP CD. Click on "Direct Burn" for the "Mode" type under the "Bootable ISO" window. Click "Burn". Wait for the process to complete. Reboot your computer.
