    Basic Functions

    • 1). Set the clock by pressing the "Clock" button found in the middle of the bottom row. Use the arrows that appear on the digital display to adjust the time. Tap the arrows slowly to adjust hours and minutes, or hold down the button to quickly cycle through options. Press "Done" on the left of the bottom row to save the settings.

    • 2). Select heating, cooling or turning off the thermostat by pressing "System" on the left side of the screen. Press the button until your desired choice-heating, cooling, off, automatic or emergency heat-illuminates. Press "Done" on the left side of the bottom row to save the setting.

    • 3). Pick a fan setting-always on, automatic (runs when the heating or cooling is on) or circulation (fan runs randomly 35 percent of the time). Press "Fan" on the left side of the screen until your selection lights up. Press "Done" on the left side of the bottom row to save the setting.

    • 4). Control the temperature by pressing the up or down arrows next to the temperature display. This temporarily overrides any temperature settings programmed and lasts until the thermostat is scheduled to automatically change the temperature. Press "Hold" on the left side of the bottom row after adjusting the temperature to permanently change the setting.

    Preprogram Daily Temperatures

    • 1). Press "Sched" on the left end of the bottom row. Hit "Edit," which will appear in the same spot after pressing "Sched."

    • 2). Select a day of the week along the top row.

    • 3). Look for "Wake" to illuminate in the middle of the bottom row. Set the time you wake up using the up and down arrows next to the time display. Use the up and down arrows next to the temperature display to set a temperature for the time you wake up.

    • 4). Hit another time period button-"Leave," "Return" or "Sleep"-along the bottom row and repeat the process of setting a time and temperature. Press "Cancel Period" on the right end of the bottom row to eliminate any suggested time period. Press "Done" on the left side of the bottom row to save the settings.

    • 5). Repeat the process, starting with "Sched," for each day of the week.

    Program Vacation Temperature

    • 1). Use the up and down arrows next to the temperature display to set a desired temperature while away from home for extended periods. For example, select 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 2). Use the up and down arrows next to the time display to program when the thermostat should return to normal on the day you return. For example, select 9 a.m.

The thermostat now will keep your home at 60 degrees 24 hours a day for seven days. The settings will return to normal at 9 a.m. on the seventh day.

    • 4). Press and hold "Cancel" for several seconds to end vacation settings early.
