I received an email from Tom Wildy of Henningsen Foods makers of Adventure Egg. He said he was "on a mission to change the way people perceive dehydrated eggs."

"Adventure Egg Nutrition is a division of Henningsen Foods and as Henningsen Foods we sell tons of high quality powder eggs to the Food industry, daily and have for over 60 years. Until 18 months ago Henningsen Foods never did any thing in the retail market.

"But after 15 years of pestering management that we should be taking our product retail, they finally bit. The way we convinced them was to go out and buy every powder egg product on the retail shelf and scrambled them up for management to try. After trying everything, they said go for it.

"Why would our product be better than others? It is in the way we dry the eggs. We do it as gently as possible by exposing the eggs to as little amount of heat as possible. Too much heat causes the protein to denature, creating problems with flavor and functionality. The proof is in the taste." ~ Tom Wildy

I received some samples from Tom and gave them a try. I mixed 4 tablespoons of Adventure Egg powdered egg with 4 tablespoons of water. I let the mix sit for a few minutes. I then cooked them up like scrambled eggs. They didn't have much smell, and they looked a little watery in the skillet, but the end result looked just like regular scrambled eggs in texture. Surprisingly, the Anywhere Scrambles tasted good too. If I hadn't made them myself, I wouldn't have known they were powdered eggs.
