How to Boot Vista From a USB Flash
- 1). Restart your computer. When you see the loading screens appear, enter your BIOS menu by pressing "Delete", "F1" or "F2". Text in the lower left or right portion of the screen will tell you which key to press. You can also consult your computer documentation for this information.
- 2). Use the arrow keys to select and open the "Boot Sequence" (or similar) menu. The location of this menu will vary depending on your computer manufacturer, but it should be in "Standard CMOS Features", "Advanced BIOS Features" or "Advanced Chipset Features". Check your computer documentation if you need help finding it.
- 3). Select "Removable Devices" or "USB" (depending on manufacturer) from the boot menu and press the "Enter" key.
- 4). Insert your USB flash drive in a free USB port on your computer, and then press "F10" to save your configuration changes and exit the BIOS. Confirm the changes when prompted. Your computer will now restart and boot from your flash drive.
