    • 1). Purchase a USB keyboard. When removing it from the package, check to make sure the keyboard is in working condition and undamaged.

      Locate a USB port on your computer. Insert the USB connector of the keyboard into the port.

    • 3). Refer to the motherboard or computer manual or use Reference to find out a key to enter BIOS on your computer. Typically, it is the key "Del," "F1" or "F2."

    • 4). Switch on your computer. When the computer or motherboard manufacturer's logo will appear on the screen press the key (Step 2) on the USB keyboard to access BIOS.
